Obituary of Betty J. Biddlecome

Betty J. Biddlecome, 95 of Clinton, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Katherine Luther Home, with her family by her side.  She was born August 2, 1929, in a Utica a daughter of the late Benjamin and Harriet (Hinman) Novak and graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1947. Betty worked as head cashier for both Loblaws and Great American Supermarkets and later worked for her brother at the Jolly Butcher Shop, Clinton. She was Communicate of St. Mary’s Church, Clinton. She enjoyed camping, loved the ocean, Sunday Road trips, family visits and gatherings. Most of all she loved the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Shorey of Clinton, William and Jody Biddlecome, Jr. of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Mekenzie Shorey of Clinton, Tyler Shorey of Utica, Brandon Shorey of CA, Joshua and Hannah Biddlecome of Greenville, NC, Cameron Biddlecome of Reno, NV, Katelyn Biddlecome of Cary, NC; great grandchildren, Graham, Foster and Emma Biddlecome; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Corrie Novak of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day…unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

Life brings tears, smiles, and memories. The tears dry, the smiles fade, but memories last and go on forever.

Betty final request was there be no calling hours or services.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Katherine Luther Home for all their care, kindness and professionalism shown by them to Betty.
