Rose M. Swalgin Obituary

Rose M. Swalgin, 82, of Post St., passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Katherine Luther Residential Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.


She was born April 20, 1943, in Oneida, a daughter of the late Michael and Jennie (Mason) Kampf and graduated from Stockbridge Valley High School.


 On July 23, 1966, at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Waterville she was united in marriage to Richard S. Swalgin.


Rose had worked for the Waterville Knitting Mill and later Sears, Roebuck and Company, New Hartford until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and gardening and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.


Surviving is her husband, Richard S. Swalgin; son Steven R. Swalgin; granddaughter, Sera R. Swalgin and several nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Michael and Henry Kampf.


In keeping with Rose’s wishes, there will be no services, and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
