Edward J. Miller, Jr., 82, of Clinton, NY, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.
Edward was born on July 25, 1943, in Norristown, PA, the son of the late Edward James Miller, Sr. and Catherine (Burke) Miller, and graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School.
Edward was married to Margaret Jane Miller - “Peggy”, until her passing in 1989. He later found love again and married Marilyn M. (Mullen) Trudeau on October 24, 1998, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Norristown, PA.
Edward spent many years working for Valvoline, a career marked by dedication and reliability, before retiring. Retirement did not slow him down. Instead, Edward transformed his passion for antiques into a business, becoming a franchise owner of Craters & Freighters alongside his wife. Together, they carefully packed and shipped antiques and artwork to destinations around the world. Edward took great pride in this work and was especially fond of his iconic yellow 1949 Ford panel truck, a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
Edward found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed relaxing at home, watching television, and spending time with his family, often making them laugh. He also cherished vacations to Surf City, New Jersey, a place that held special meaning for him, as it was where he met Marilyn and created many lasting memories.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn M. Miller of Clinton; his son and daughter-in-law, Burke Edward Miller and Kate Miller of Schwenksville, PA; his stepchildren, Andrew and Susan Trudeau of Tioga, PA, Patrick and Tina Trudeau of Fairport, NY, and Alyson Trudeau (Carlo Vidrini) of LaGrange, NY; his brother, Thomas Miller and his wife Cindy of Perkiomenville, PA; his cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron, Zachery, Cody, Rebecca, Erin, Abigail, Sara, Tyler, and Kathryn; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his son, Mark James Miller.
A Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held at a date, time, and location to be announced.
Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to R.P. Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 10 East Park Row, Clinton, New York 13323.
