Lauraine E. Blier Obituary

Lauraine E. Blier, 90, of Frankfort, NY passed away on Thursday March 5, 2026 at Foltsbrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Herkimer, NY.  Her husband, Albert A. Blier predeceased her on September 23, 2016.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosay Church in New Hartford, NY.


She was born on March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) in Lowell, Ma, the daughter of Aime and Cora.  She graduated high school from St. Louis Academy in Lowell, MA.  She later married Albert A. Blier in Lowell, MA on April 19, 1958 and they lived in Dracut, MA.


Lauraine was a trailblazer in the early years of Tupperware Home Parties in Everett, MA.  She began her very successful business career as a Tupperware Lady in Dracut, MA and rose very quickly through the ranks as a Tupperware Manager, ranking as a Top National Tupperware Manager from the late 60’s to early 70’s.  In 1972 Lauraine and her husband, Al, were then promoted as national distributors to run the Tupperware Distribution Operation in Utica, NY.  Together they built a very successful business and sales operation for 20+ years.


Lauraine is survived by her daughter, Susan Donnenwirth of Utica; her son, Paul (Jennifer) Blier of Holland Patent; her sister Pauline Wilson of  Dracut, MA; her  brother and sister-in-law, Aime Jr and Monique Gingras of Lawrence, MA; and her sister-in-law Shirley Gingras of CA, grandchildren Jacob (Alexandra) Donnenwirth of NC; Lucas Donnenwirth of Frankfort, NY; Dylan Blier of Westmoreland, NY; Isabella and Elizabeth Blier both of Holland Patent, NY; great-grandchildren Ava, Nikolas, Abigail and Isabel Donnenwirth of NC, and many nieces and nephews.  Lauraine was predeceased by her brother, William Gingras.


Lauraine was beloved by everyone who knew her.  She had a gentle and kind heart.  She defined strength and determination in the most dignified way.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She loved playing cards.  She  truly was a bright light in the world in which she lived.


A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
