1924 – 2021
CLINTON – Kathleen N. “Kay” Hayes, 96, a resident of the Katherine Luther Home in Clinton and formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the home.
Kay was born October 2, 1924 in New Hartford, the daughter of William and Pearl (Jones) Hayes. She was raised and educated in New Hartford where she graduated high school. Kay had been employed with Extrudart Metals in Cohoes, NY. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Utica.
Kathleen is survived by one sister, Helen Jeffrey, Clinton; as well as by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including her special niece, Gail Szczygiel, Conesus. She is predeceased by five sisters, Luella Harke, Julia Mildred Madore, Lois Irons, Geraldine Schmele, and Corrin Hayes; as well as three brothers, William Hayes, Harry Hayes, and Wesley Hayes.
Funeral Services, entrusted to R.P. Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 10 East Park Row, Clinton, are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in New Forest Cemetery, Utica.
