Obituary of Shirley H. Swing

Shirley H. Swing 1927 – 2021 Clark Mills – Shirley H. Swing, 94, of Clark Mills, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 peacefully at her home. Shirley was born March 15, 1927 in Hamburg, NY, the daughter of Spencer and Louise (Hellriegel) Ellis. She was raised and educated in Hamburg. She lived in Los Angeles, CA for a time and was employed with Pacific Tel & Tel as a secretary. In 1970, Shirley became co-founder of Millgate Meadows, Inc., in Clark Mills, with her former husband, D. Robert Swing, where she was the treasurer and secretary. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Utica. Shirley is survived by her grandchildren, Currey and Keagan Nelson, both of Clark Mills. She is predeceased by her daughter, Carla Nelson; by her sister, Harriet Ellis; and by her brother, James Ellis. Funeral Services, entrusted to R.P.
