Clinton - Martin J. Beerhalter, 89, of Utica Rd., passed Wednesday, February 28, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

          Martin was born April 24, 1928 in Utica, the son of Martin & Anna Zimmerhalek. He graduated from Hamilton High School, Utica School of Commerce, and MVCC. Martin operated a dairy farm with his brother until 1963, then retired from his Sgt. Safety Officer position at Marcy Psychiatric in 1989. In 1956, Martin married his beloved, Betty Weber, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica. He enjoyed traveling with New Hartford Seniors, winters in Florida & Little River, NC, and playing pitch. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.

            Martin is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Linda & spouse, Robert Hansen, their children Laura & Brian; his brother-in-law, Jack McNamara; his close friend, Edward Cossette & spouse Amy; and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 5 siblings: William & spouse, Eloise, Anna, Margaret & spouse, Al Barton, Sister Ann Louise, and Rosemary McNamara.

Mr. Beerhalter’s funeral will take place on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10 am at St. Thomas Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Family will greet relatives & friends following Mass. Private interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown.
