Cynthia C. Marriott
1951 – 2021
WATERVILLE – Cynthia C. “Cindy” Marriott, 69, of Waterville, passed away suddenly Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, New Hartford after a brief illness.
Cindy was born September 15, 1951 in Oneida, NY, the daughter of James and Helen (Kampf) Harney. She was a graduate of Madison Central High School. Cindy worked at P&C Supermarket for many years and then found that what she loved doing was being a Home Health Caregiver. She was there for many wonderful families whom she spoke about often. Cindy looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was so proud of them all. Cindy loved going on lunch dates with her family and friends. She would always have to go to Quack’s Diner for her fish sandwich that she would drench in a bottle of ketchup. Cindy loved her Wednesday dates with her daughter, Chris. She also enjoyed going to “look around” the stores for nothing in particular, and leaving with a cart full. Cindy loved butterflies, and had a big collection of them. She also collected magnets, and if she or anyone were going on vacation, she would buy one or say “bring me back a magnet”. Cindy was an awesome cook. Whenever there was a cookout or party, she was always asked to bring her famous macaroni or potato salad. Her family and grandkids would always look forward to her Ganado Soup (the grandkids always helped her pluck the homemade noodles).
Cindy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Bruce Marriott, Waterville; her three children and twelve grandchildren, Chris and son-in-law, Dave Champion, Clinton (Tyler, Taeghan, and Tanner); Guy and daughter-in-law, Cathy Marriott, Waterville, (Morgan and Connor); David Marriott, Waterville, (Candace, Mindy, and Brylee), a stepson, Bruce Marriott, Oriskany Falls (Ryan and Caitlin), and a stepdaughter, Tina Newlin, New Jersey, (Shannon and Thomas). She is also survived by many dear friends that she loved spending time with including Bill and Eileen, Debbie, Joanne, and Pat. Cindy is predeceased by both of her parents; an infant daughter, Lisa Marie; her beloved son, Jason; a grandson, Nicholas; two sisters, Patricia Moon and Marta Lormond; and a brother, Matthew Williams.
All are invited to attend Mrs. Marriott’s graveside service being held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00 pm in Deansboro Cemetery. Her Celebration of Life will follow at Helmuth-Ingalls American Legion Post #232, Franklin Springs. Those wishing may donate to a charity of your choice in Cindy’s memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to R.P. Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 10 East Park Row, Clinton. Online memorial and guestbook available at www.rpheintzfsi.com.
Cindy’s last words when you spoke with her were always “Tell everybody hi and I love them”.
