Annette,Dennis,Chloe,Parker, Chris,Abbi, and the wonderful “Aunts”,
My heart hurts for all of you because your loss is heartbreaking. Parents should not lose children. Children should be grown before the loss of a parent. Melissa was beyond special. Her laugh was contagious. Her smile ever present. Her kindness knew no bounds. She was the embodiment of good, in a world that sometimes makes us wonder about good.
There are too many memories and funny stories to recount. She was a friend to me in good and bad times. She always left me better for having seen or talked to her. She saw the GOOD and positive. In EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY. (But she had your back if anyone wronged you and you were one of her people.) She came to help at the drop of a hat. She was generous and grateful. My world is darker knowing I no longer have my dear friend. But I am beyond grateful to her and to all of you- for all you shared with me and Allie. You made us feel loved and included when we didn’t have that. You allowed us to share your family vacation. You sat with us at games. You supported us in hard times.
Melissa was so beautiful and amazing because she had love modeled for her. She knew unconditional love and she gave it. To everyone she met.
I am so sorry for your loss. But grateful to have been her friend. And I will ALWAYS be there for Chloe and Parker. I promised her.

Annette,
I am so very sorry to hear of Melissa’s passing.
You and your husband raised a beautiful daughter.
I saw her interacting with residents all the time and she just knew what to say to each one.
That’s because she listened to them and knew whether they needed a laugh, a joke, a smile, a hug or a shoulder to cry on.
Not everyone has that gift but she was blessed with it and now she will join so many of them again while she watches over her loves on earth.
Thoughts and prayers to her two babies and all the rest of you.
Christine Humphrey

I first knew Melissa through Girl Scouts but our sons are also in the same grade at school, so our paths crossed frequently. Melissa's devotion to her children was unsurpassed. While a GS leader she not only lead a large troop but helped to organize and volunteered for many GS unit activities. Melissa WANTED to be involved in her Parker and Chole's lives. So she made time for them in so many ways. Her love and support for children naturally overflowed into her giving back to the Clinton Community. Her smile, her spirit will be missed by many. Namaste

Dear Annette, Dennis, Chris, Abby and family,
We are so saddened by Missy's passing. My heart goes out to you all to have strength to get through this time. I have great memories of her growing up with my kids. Her motherly instincts were apparent even at an early age. It was our privilege to share time with Missy and we will always remember how she watched over everyone and showed her love.

I’m sadder by the news….Melissa was the first person I saw when I visited my mother daily at the Lutheran home back in 2018-19 Her beautiful smile and the kindness she share as you entered the building was what visitors needed. We shared stories and kept encouraging one another as I entered and left the building. She was an angel that I needed at the time. My heart breaks with the family and sending her kids spiritual hugs and prayers ( she loved her kids endlessly and will be missed by many -but know she is with you and watching over her loved ones)
