Obituary of Frances J. Zielinski

Clinton – Frances J. Zielinski, 77, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her husband at her side.

            Known as “Mickey” to family and friends, Frances was born November 1, 1945 in Utica, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Schlager) Bearer.  She was raised and educated in Utica, graduating from Utica Free Academy.  On June 6, 1970, Frances married David Zielinski at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica, beginning their 52-year union.  Along with her husband, Frances founded All-Phaze Electric, Inc. in 1987 and served as President for 26 years.  But her greatest roles were that of mother and grandmother.  With her unwavering love and selfless support, she made it possible for her children and grandchildren to achieve their dreams.   Whether she knew it or not, Frances changed the world.  Her words, her spirit and her memory will live on through those she touched. 

            In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her only sibling and best friend, Mary A. Bearer.  The family takes comfort knowing that the sisters are now reunited.

 Frances is survived by her beloved husband, David Zielinski, Clinton; her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Peter Wilcox, Clinton; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Cecelia Zielinski, Pittsburgh, PA; her grandsons, Ryan, Joshua, Aidan and granddaughter, Lila.

            Funeral Services, entrusted to R.P. Heintz Funeral Service, Clinton, are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place privately in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Utica.

            In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY  13413.
