Obituary of Karole B. Kelly
Please share a memory of Karole to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karole Barbara Kelly (KK), 86 of Clinton, formerly of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Katherine Luther Home in Clinton, New York. She was born on October 3, 1937 in Gloversville, New York, daughter of the late Darwin and Dorothy Fritcher Kelly. Karole attended Broadalbin High School and was a graduate of the class of 1955. In her earlier years, Karole waitressed at various area restaurants, worked briefly for the New York State Thruway Authority and ultimately retired from NBT Bank in Clinton, a job she truly loved where she made many meaningful friendships. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Hartford where she enjoyed singing in the choir as well as volunteering at various church activities. In her spare time, Karole could be found tending to her beautiful flower gardens and made a point to attend any and all activities involving her three granddaughters.
Karole was a bright light in this world. Quick with a smile, she always made people feel like they were the most important person she’d ever met. Unafraid to laugh or cry at any time or place, she often dragged you along with whatever emotion she was feeling at the time. She loved her family, especially her granddaughters who she helped shape into the wonderful women they are today.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Sisti of Utica, Matthew and Julie Sisti of Marcy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Piret Kelly of Clifton Park, Robert and Vanessa Kelly of KY; grandchildren, Danielle and Stephen Jackson of Stamford, CT, Nicole Sisti and fiancé Tyler Wright of Brooklyn, Gianna Sisti of Brooklyn and great-grandson, Nico Jackson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Karole’s family would like to thank the staff at the Katherine Luther Home for their exceptional and compassionate care over the years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
