Walter A. Zainchowski Obituary

Walter A. Zainchowski, 85 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Wynn Hospital.


He was born January 16, 1940 in Utica, a son of the late Walter R. and Julia (Kozyra) Zainchowski, graduated from Utica Free Academy and served his country in the US Army. He was married to former Lorena Jean Schram, she since has predeceased him. Walter worked for UNIVAC and took on various other career ventures until his retirement.


He was a member of the American Legion Post #26 of Clark Mills and enjoyed hunting.


Surviving is his loving companion, Ruth Murray; his children, Trisha and Michael Goracy, Sr., Tina and Stephen Goracy, Sr., Traci and Donald Stockbridge; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Julie Renzi, Karen and John Scheidelman, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.


In keeping with Walter's wishes, service and interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton will be private at the convenience of the family.
