Obituary of Carol E. McPherson

Carol E. (Dignan) McPherson, 93, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Katherine Luther RHC & RC.

Carol was born December 25, 1924, in Utica, NY, the daughter of Herbert Louis and Emma Augusta (DeBrunz) Dignan.  She was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School.  Carol married N. Donald McPherson in St. Mary's Church in Clinton.  She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years with Ford's IGA Market in Clinton.  Carol was of the Catholic faith and most recently attended Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills.  She was an avid golfer and bowler who had competed in many local tournaments.

Carol is survived by a sister, Rita Halfmann, Clinton; as well as by several neices and nephews.  Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Herbert Dignan, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Buckley.

A Memorial  Mass for Carol will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Church of the Annunciation where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Interment, in Sunset Hill Cemetery, will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
