Stephen Schiavi posted a condolence

To Judy & family,
A respected friend and colleague! Chuck was not only a legend in soccer, but one of the best teachers anyone could have. From the first time I met him as a colleague, in 1970, at Mt. Markham, he was someone to admire. When I worked as an Assistant Principal to Ron Ross, there were times that I had to speak with soccer players who acted up in school. When I told them that I would speak to Coach Engle, their first response was always the same. "Please Mr. Schiavi, don't tell Coach Engle." Charlie's rule was very simple: if you act up in school and cause trouble there, you sit the bench for two games! That's all that needed to be said,
He had shaped boys into men!
I will miss him dearly. God blessed us all with his wonderful life!
Forever grateful, and with our sincere condolences,
Stephen & Roberta Schiavi

My sympathy goes out to family and friends. Even though Mr. Engle was way more on the winning side than I was when we played him on the field, I had great respect and adoration for him. Rest in peace, sir.
