I am so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. She was a good friend for close to 40 years. I first met her when I called on her at her store in Forestport in 1980. I sold beer for our family business. We had many similar interests including our love of the Adirondacks. I remember going to lake placid with her and just enjoying coffee and conversation at her favorite restaurant there. Trips to the Adirondack loj, hikes to lakes and ponds, visiting sagamore lodge, dinner or drinks at the White Lake Inn. All of those times bring back great memories. Being the same age as Neil, he and I became friends when he came home in 1983 or 84. I was devastated when he was taken from us so tragically. You are never suppose to bury your own child and we spoke about the pain she endured due to his passing. Connie and I always stayed in touch as life took us in different directions. I purchased some art from her this past autumn and it was good to see her and catch up with her. Please know that she was a special lady and was a wonderful friend. I will always treasure our friendship and the good times we shared. My sincere condolences to your entire family. May she now be reunited with Neil and may she Rest In Peace.
