Richard “Rich” Harvey

1947-2023-Richard Harvey, 75, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Utica on September 27, 1947 the son on the late Robert and Jane (Pritchard) Harvey. Rich attended UFA and went on to graduate from SUNY IT. He was an auditor for NY Central Mutual until his retirement. On March 6, 1976, Rich married the love of his life, Gail Deusler in Westminster Presbyterian Church, a blessed union of 46 years until her passing.

Rich was a loving and devoted, husband, father and grandfather. Family gatherings were of the upmost importance, especially around the holidays. He was an avid fisherman and guitar player and adored the time spent with his grandchildren.

Rich is survived by his loving children, Chris (Kelly) Harvey, Newport and Douglas (Brittney Rigoli) Harvey, Apalachin, Danielle (Adam Jones) Harvey, Whitesboro; four cherished grandchildren, Lucian Kelly, Harley Quinn Harvey, Christopher Harvey Jr and Jack Harvey; brothers, Donald (Marlene) Harvey and Lynn Harvey as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Jr and Keith Harvey.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12 Noon at the R.P. Heintz Funeral Service Inc. 10 East Park Row, Clinton. Funeral services will commence at 12 Noon immediately following visitation.  He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Gail in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Kirkland.
