I extend my deep sympathies to Linda, George, Renée, and all their family members. George II, his son, was my best friend in elementary school, and I was a frequent visitor at the Shaheens’ home on Snowden Hill Road,, where the entire family, including George Jr., welcomed me warmly. My sympathies to Linda and the Shaheen family. George was the best friend a friend could be. Before he was my friend, he was one of my first clients. He was very receptive to my being his new insurance agent and soon after a great friend. George was always welcoming whenever I stopped into the store for a visit, for a coffee, or to go to lunch. George was always willing to help a friend out, whatever the need was. Our business relationship turned into a great friendship. I will always be grateful for knowing George and Linda. I met George the day I needed new wingtip shoes when starting my first management job. Since that day in 1981, George has repaired and sold me shoes. Over the years, I would just stop by the store to visit and chat with him. He was a gentleman, a great craftsman, and a good friend.
