I can see Peggy in my mind's eye: a dynamic, energetic, friendly, fascinating individual. I didn't see her often -- only when she was attending a service or program at Utica's First Presbyterian Church, but she had a presence that was unforgettable. I had no idea how accomplished she was until I read her obituary. I knew about her interest in horses, but am in awe of her knowledge and stature -- something else of which I was unaware. The era of people like Peggy and Dick at First Church is long gone, but both of them, like so many others from that time, are etched in my memory. For all Peggy did to make the world a better place, I am thankful.
